Bridals

Now that school is out, I passed the NCLEX, I'm married and back from the honeymoon I don't seem to have a lot to do. Spencer and I opened all of our presents and I'm slowing moving them from the front room into their new 'homes'.
I'm really looking forward to seeing my professional wedding pictures, but the photographer still hasn't posted them :( I know that it has only been a week and a half, but I can be a little impatient sometimes! So, instead of posting wedding pictures I am going to post some of my favorite Bridals.

Registered Nurse

I am proud to announce that I have passed the NCLEX and am now a Registered Nurse! No more studying! All of my hard work has payed off and that is the best feeling in the world :)

I am marrying the love of my life next week and I have accomplished my dream of becoming a nurse. What more could I ask for? Seriously.

Engagment pictures

Yesterday I received my professional engagement and bridal pictures from my photographer! I had seen them all before, but I got the actual discs. So I decided to post some of my favorites! I'll post some bridals after the wedding :) The original plan was to have them taken on Main Street in Park City, but the weather was not cooperating that day; so we did them on 25th Street in Ogden. I love how they turned out! Spencer looks SO handsome in all of the pics!!

Life.

The months of May and June have been and will continue to be pretty overwhelming for me. I have had a lot of changes and new experiences. In May I graduated from college/nursing school, I had a few get togethers to celebrate that, I have also had 3 bridal showers, I have been doing several last minutes things for the wedding, I applied for my RN license and registered for the NCLEX, my birthday was on June 6th, I'm taking the NCLEX on June 16th and then I'm getting married on June 26th! Wow! Everything is landing on the 6s this month! Now I'm not complaining, I have really enjoyed the last few weeks and I am proud of myself for working hard and reaching my goals. I have just been a little overwhelmed.
Starting this past Monday, I have really buckled down and have been studying a lot for the NCLEX. I am VERY nervous for my big test! This test is my future! I know the worst thing that can happen is that I don't pass, but I can take it again. The bad part about that is that I would have to pay another $200 to take the test again. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that doesn't happen. :) In the past I have felt fairly confident going into a test, but I feel different about this one. It is very different than any other test I've taken. Well I will post when I PASS the NCLEX!

I had a great birthday this year, I went to dinner at Mazza with my parents and Spencer's parents the day before my b-day. Then I spent the whole day just hanging out with Spencer. We went for a morning jog, then put up my new slackline that he got me. We did some shopping and then I made a cake and had some friends stop by. It was nice to just relax and not worry about throwing a party.

Spencer has also had a busy 2 months. His work keeps his busy and I have dragged him all over the place for my graduation and parties. :) Last weekend he had his first bachelor party at his family's cabin at Bear Lake and this weekend he is having a second bachelor party in Las Vegas! I am gonna miss him, but I know he will have a great time.

NCLEX

Well I have finally picked a date to take the NCLEX, the RN licensure exam, I am taking it on June 16 at 8 AM. I can't believe it, I have been dreading this test for 2 years and now it's only 3 weeks away. I really need to find some motivation to study, lately I've been keeping myself busy with wedding things...

New Recipe

So I am always trying to find new recipes to cook and lately I've been wanting to try new vegetables. Which probably sounds silly since I'm a vegetarian, but growing up my parents didn't cook a lot of vegetables besides corn, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms and broccoli. So I am just now trying different kinds of vegetables such as green peppers, asparagus and most recently eggplant. So when I was at the store the other day, I decided to buy an eggplant. The only eggplant that I've ever eaten was the Eggplant Parmigiana at Olive Garden. Now if anyone else has ever had this then they would know that is 95% breading and 5% eggplant....meaning you can't even taste the eggplant. Since I've never really tried eggplant and I had no idea how to cook it either. I ended up finding this amazing recipe website called, eatingwell.com, that has several eggplant recipes. I decided to try one that is called Eggplant-Cheddar Bake. It was actually really good! I think that this would be an enjoyable and filling meal for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. It was simple to make and makes enough for 2 people. Graduation Day.

Well I did it, I graduated! I now have my Bachelors degree in nursing! Unfortunately, that does not make me an RN. I still need to take the NCLEX, the RN licensure exam, to make it official. Graduation day went perfectly, Spencer and I picked up Allyson and then we got our class pictures taken at the Park Building on campus. We then had the nursing graduation ceremony at Kingsbury Hall. There were some great speakers and I had a great time!

On Sunday, May 9th, I had a graduation fiesta at my house! There were enchiladas, chips and salsa, cheese dip, crackers and veggies and nachos dulce for dessert!
