2 years

Spencer and I had our second wedding anniversary on June 26th, but we celebrated it on sunday the 24th. We dropped Dom off at my dad's house in Draper and headed off to Park City for the day. We started the day by stopping for lunch at Arby's (my favorite fast food restaurant!) then went over to the outlet stores. Spencer is a sweetheart and packed his suit and some dress shoes for me and told me that I got to buy a new dress for dinner! He is the best! I found my dress at Banana Republic. I was so excited to see that they had a petite section! After shopping, we went up to Park City Mountain Resort to ride the alpine slide. It was so much fun! It was also fun to just walk around and be able to hold hands. That probably sounds silly, but when we have Dominic with us, one of us is always pushing the stroller or carrying Dominic. So we aren't able to hold hands or walk arm in arm very often. It took us a while to decide on a restaurant, but we ended up going to Deer Valley resort. I don't remember the name, but it was really nice and the food was delicious!
Dominic also had a fun day. My dad and stepmom, Kirsten, took Dom swimming and they also bought him some fun new toys to play with while there. They definitely spoiled him!

Father's Day

For Father's Day this year, we went to the zoo with Spencer's family. Dominic is finally to the age that he is starting to notice the animals and shows interest in them. He had so much fun running around and watching the animals. I love watching him discover new things! He is such a big boy!
This was Spencer's second Father's Day. Dominic couldn't have asked for a better dada. After a long day at work, Spencer is always happy to see Dominic. He comes home and the first thing Dom wants to do is wrestle with him. Dom pretty much just rolls all over Spencer and bites him. haha It's really cute. Anyone that sees them together knows how much they love eachother. They just have so much fun together and Spencer is so patient with Dom. I can't wait to watch Spencer teach Dom things-how to ride a bike, tie his shoes, go to the bathroom in the big potty, how to play soccer, etc.. I just love watching them interact. I love my boys!

Here is Spencer helping Dom drink out of the lion fountain for the first time

New toy

Dominic really loves to play in water so I decided to buy him a water table. I felt good about buying a big toy that takes up a lot of space, because I think that this is a toy that he will be able to enjoy for a couple years and it will be a good investment. And boy did I make the right choice! He LOVES the water table. He loves dumping the water all over himself, drinking the water, splashing the water, etc.. I'm excited for my nephew Caleb to come play with Dom and the table and for Lou to play with it next year too. I love just watching Dominic play and explore the world around him.
We went to the Gateway today and we decided to let Dominic play in the fountain. He really loved playing in the baby pool and fountains at the Roy Aquatic Center. So it seemed like something he would like. I was a little hesitant, because honestly I think it's a little weird when people take their kids to play in the fountain at the mall...especially in their clothes, which he was in. But he had so much fun! It's funny how proud I am of him when he's just out playing and exploring. But I was just beaming with pride! I just love that boy!!! He was running around laughing and screaming and stomping his feet, at one point he was poking his finger in the hole where the water comes out and it shot him in the face! He just kept on playing though.

This hat is super goofy, but it gets the job done and protects his little bald head like a champ!

Pictures for the last post :)

I didn't post any pictures with the last post, so here's a bunch!
Cute Dominic hanging out under the chair

St Paddy's Day

Cute matching soccer jerseys, we bought those jerseys on our honeymoon to Mexico (we were 6 weeks pregnant at the time). We didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl so we bought a jersey for a boy and a little dress for a girl

I made this 'D' button letter for Dominic. I love how it turned out!
